On February 4th a group of 6th, 7th and 8th graders from The Harley School participated in the local MathCounts meet for Mathletes from around the city at RIT. They were awarded first place and landed four more placements in the top twenty-five.

The team of David, Daniel, Roman and Maxwell came in first as a team. Maxwell won the individual overall prize and the prize as the winner of the countdown round.

Zach Ellis won a prize for the highest score as an alternate.

The Villani brothers, Roman, Maxwell and Zach will head to Troy, New York to participate in the state meet on March 18th.

Their coach, Harley math teacher Lee Allen said, “These kids are amazing and so very motivated to do a good job. They love a challenge and they love to challenge me!”
