The Harley School 3rd grade class learned entrepreneurial skills with annual Harlic Garlic sale on Monday.

Students grew, harvested and sold organic cloves of garlic to the school community.

Over the past few months, students have been planting and tending to an organic garlic garden on school grounds to prepare for the sale.

They have been splitting garlic heads and measuring planting squares.

Students also used class time to learn basic marketing skills and create posters to hang up around school.

Families pre-ordered cloves and students were taught how to give correct change so they could run the stand independently.

Now that the sale is over, the class will vote on a cause that they want the proceeds to benefit.
