Head of School Search: Discovery Process Update

Dear Harley Community,

Thank you for participating in our Head of School Search Discovery Process! Our DRG search consultant, Andrew Watson, relates that his full day and evening of meetings, three additional Zoom meetings, and 142 responses to the community survey combine to provide a rich overview of our school. The broad themes that emerge from this work will be included in an Opportunity Statement we send to potential candidates while the entirety of the information gathered will inform the work of DRG and the Search Committee.

We will soon be posting the job and promising leaders will be encouraged to apply over the course of the spring and summer, leading to initial interviews with the search committee in September and then finalist visits to campus. We will ask for your assistance again when the candidates arrive. Welcoming them and showing them our Harley spirit while also rigorously assessing them will take place in early October. As each finalist candidate leaves campus there will be another survey available to gather community input.

This is an important moment for Harley, and you each make a difference through your participation—thanks again! And as we go through this time of transition, please join us in thanking our faculty, staff, and administration for their support of our students and mission as we await the arrival of our next leader.
